Shinging Women,

Medusa Rising will host a reading circle on Imbolc -- 1 Feb 2026 -- on the general subject of Eco-design, eco-feminism, and climate related adaptations.

We have two texts -- both pretty quick reads.

Our interest is partly in the denied ecofeminist roots of the various climate/eco movements.

It's members only, and memberships start a $Free.99.

Meanwhile, and always, gratitude and admiration!!  Esmee

This is so awesome, thank you for hosting this! I've always been interested in eco-feminism, mainly because I am a massive treehugger. One thing I have noticed, is I recently joined an ecological/conservation Discord for my region, and it was full of women. They seem to be very wholesome, and politically organized. But the gender divide was interesting to notice.

Whenever I try to focus on environmentalist issues in my community, I feel like I'm screaming into a void and being treated like a "crazy lady" for even caring. It's so frustrating, when it feels like people are so dulled to how we are a part of nature that they view anyone who actively cares about the destruction of it as "weird." Sigh. So I can see why "eco-feminism" became a thing, both feminism and ecology are treated as being "worthless" by a capitalistic society hellbent on extracting resources by any means possible, as fast as possible, to the demise of our lives. /rant

I added this event to the clovenhooves calendar. :)
