I recently saw an anti-feminist guy argue about ''what's the harm with TIM anyway? Why are some people so mean?'' (in response to what you say about right-wing men) It's really just repackaged men's rights activism. Same with any case where the physical advantages of men absolutely destroy a woman such as in the ring (man calling himself a woman, through DSD or identity doesn't really matter) or other places where a woman is in a dangerous or vulnerable position with a man of any sort.
The arguments these people use, are essentially the same as the right wing's.
The right wing calls women emotional, irrational, triggered, you know it.
The left calls women transphobic, bigoted, hateful, dumb, jealous.
Neither side properly engage in any sort of debate. Ironically, I wonder if that is because MEN can't tolerate social/emotional discomfort anymore. (hmmm....) Their insular communities have them shouting their slogans at each other and they got used to it, or just calling dissenters emotional and the like. I think this question for me stems from having watched the Manosphere documentary and having read a comment saying that the men featured in it, don't know how to feel about Theroux or respond to his questions because they either know blind agreement, or someone very rightfully being triggered and upset at their words. So if there's neither agreement, nor very visible emotion, but actually a simple, rational question, they're lost.
Interesting how this article points out that the manosphere/new right now wants a one-sided relationship that basically consists of extraction/exploitation. Not a bargain, but a demand. It also was that in the past, but less overtly so? Now without a carrot, the only have the stick left, and the stick is null and void because women can now build their own life, so these men try to do it through shame, hatred and misogyny. Acting like women have value according to an extremely superficial points system and that outside of that, they're worthless and whatnot as a means of pressuring them into submission. I'm only glad for every woman to wake up to this.
Edit: I just wish women would learn and that we would have more ''class conscience''. This dropping of the bargain has always been in the pipeline with the new right, it's the logical and inevitable outcome of the mindset that they started cultivating more than a decade ago. We should always know and remember that men do not care as a group. Men do not care about women. Right or left. The ''protect and provide'' thing may superficially seem like caring, like wanting to give her a good and safe life, but they'll drop it the moment they can. For the left, no, the seemingly good guys don't care, nor do TIM. Men are not your friend.
