Article Rightwingers are trying to destroy women’s right to vote
Quote:But in recent decades, a more secular brand of anti-suffrage feeling has also challenged women’s voting rights, this one emerging from the strains of the right invested in biological determinism – a set of commitments ranging from evolutionary psychology to eugenics. This worldview tends to cast women as inferior not due to divine mandate, but due to nature, which, it is claimed, has made them either too stupid or too irresponsible for the vote.

I saw something about this on Reddit like, today or so. It was a screenshot of the rampant misogyny in some Instagram or TikTok content's comments. A lot of the comments were trying to make it seem like it's terrible that women can vote. Fucking psychotic and pathetic comments. It's pretty concerning for the future, given that the kind of shit they were espousing used to be like, 4chan level edgelord crap, now it's commonplace in social media your mom and grandma uses. Shit's insane.
Update: just stumbled across this r/NoFilterNews — 'More and more' MAGA Republicans openly calling to end women’s right to vote: https://reddit.com/r/NoFilterNews/comments/1pe3rzf/more_and_more_maga_republicans_openly_calling_to/
Update 2: Found shared on r/WomenInNews: https://reddit.com/r/WomenInNews/comments/1pe9rpl/rightwingers_are_trying_to_destroy_womens_right/
This is why it pisses me off to no end when women fall for the "misogyny is a Christian problem!" scam that men sell them and act like men are their allies by virtue of being atheists. A lot of these men are not religious because it doesn't appeal enough to their entitled hedonism and their masculine Facts&Logic narcissism. They just replace religion with evopsych.

We've seen the Republican youth group chats. We know what's waiting in the wings once MAGA is gone: Groyperism. You know, Nick Fuentes politics. Open Hitler apologism. That's the next step. The conservative youth here in the United States are already there. Trump's preferred successor, his Vice President JD Vance, being my age, knows this. It's why, in contrast to older Republicans, he won't criticize the Groypers. And yes, Nick Fuentes politics means banning you from voting. Among many other things. He is the GOP's new thought leader.

IMO, we need some kind of 4chan analogy of our own, free of misogyny, just to respond proportionally at this point.

(Dec 7 2025, 10:29 PM)Clover Oh! Right! I keep forgetting to share something on this topic. I finally will here. (I remember it being first mentioned in this thread.)
Soooo I guess something like this already kinda exists? There is apparently a "chanboard radfem culture" out there. Perhaps not necessarily a whole "4chan website for radfems" but like, a branch off some other 4chan-like website; lolcow.farm's snow board? A radfem talked about it on Discord some months ago. I tried to take a look, and I couldn't really find anything that I would call radfem, but I guess that's the nature of these big chanboard websites, they're pretty random on what content is visible at any given point. She also mentioned there were various woman-centric threads in the /ot/ (off-topic) board.
She did point out there is a wide mix of content: there's women gossiping about other women, there's some threads where women roast famous men, there's some radfem threads where men are banned on sight, and there's some blackpill portion of the site that makes their own threads too. She described it as "it is radfem leaning, but like, politically incorrect anonymous radfems. so imagine twitter on steroids", and that it's politically to the left of Ovarit/Vexxed, which is actually kinda fascinating if true, given it's a 4chan-style "Wild West" website.
Idk if it's exactly what you're looking for, ala "free of misogyny," since I do not think that is the case. I think it would be incredibly difficult to make a 4chan board free of misogyny, free of any bigotry, really. "4chan-style" board websites just seem to generally come with the assumption it's going to be a Wild West land of all sorts of vile stuff that one needs to wade through in order to get to something interesting/cool.
Do we need a "4chan analogy"? What would it look like, especially the "free of misogyny" part? What would be allowed vs. not allowed? Seems to me like it would unfortunately be an easy thing to twist into a "radfem-curious-to-alt-right" pipeline. I was going to say, even Ovarit/Vexxed had that issue and it was actually moderates for "civility." Then again... if there were no civility rules, as is typical with 4chan-style boards, leftist fems could easily tell racists/xenophobes that they're being dumbasses (and that'd be far from the worst term they could use). Ngl, I'd be interested in seeing someone give "radfem 4chan" a try lol.
I won't deny, while reading through Antisocial by Andrew Marantz, a lot of the alt-right internet shit he details actually could work for any political ideology, including feminism... Memes, hashtags, trends, clickbait, ragebait, etc. These are all effective no matter what one is trying to promote. (I plan on writing more about my findings from that book in detail once I finish it.) If someone wanted to, they could potentially harness the power of organizing repressed "chronically online" young women, they just need to find the right note. Tbh I think Tumblr is probably the best avenue to do that with... (r/FemaleDatingStrategy came pretty close imo.) Anyway, I'm going way off the original topic of this thread so I'll stop here. (Maybe the discussing concept of a "radfem 4chan" deserves its own thread.)
I actually hadn't noticed the existence of radfem and (feminist) black pill chanboards before! Their existence is a very good thing cuz it seems like the latter culture has really just died in the last year since the election. The Said It board that replaced the much larger classic subreddit is as now gone, the surviving blogs that I followed haven't been updated in over a year, etc. I mean black pill feminism has always been fringe, but this is fucking ridiculous! It's going into non-existence from a place that just several years ago rivaled the scale of many radfem subs! I miss the Traditions of Conflict board, Heidi Peter-Rocher's studies of ancient violence (readable in English thanks to the magic of Google Translate), and convos like these from the banned subreddit. If it wasn't for Womad, I'd feel totally lost in the world of 2025. I want more stuff like that is the bottom line. I'm tired of feeling like I'm walking on eggshells. Without freedom of thought and expression, intellectual ferment in women's politics gets crushed and we don't move forward.
