Spoiler alert! Many women died! 🥳
Making people, especially younger women and girls aware of how dangerous pregnancy and birth are is one of the most valuable things about social media. As a GenX'er from a family where we didn't talk about sex or reproductive health, I was sold a lie that pregnancies were easy and natural and not a big deal. I know this kind of misinformation is still being sold to women and girls. The fact that you have mothers sharing what their pregnancies and birth experiences were actually like has been illuminating for the women and girls seeing their content. There seems to be much better awareness and acknowledgement that pregnancy and birth are by far some of the most dangerous times in the average woman's life that just wasn't there when I was growing up.
