[...] Plus there’s the fact that Wolf hired focus on the family’s publicist before that, started “hands across the aisle” with a federalist writer in 2015-2016. And that’s WoLF, the first group most think of as radfem, when it’s actually filia that’s closest to what many here espouse. Oh yes, there's a website for that. https://littlesis.org/org/325710-Women's_Liberation_Front RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - Elsacat - Oct 28 2025 Noray, thanks for that link to LittleSis. Never seen the site before. RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - LeftFem - Oct 28 2025 May I just say, I think the immigration debate is better to have on a site like this, where people may disagree but can be civil. But more importantly, the people here are not agenda posting for a specific cause The issue with Vexxed isn't that it's anti-immigration, it's that it's so obviously agenda posting https://vexxed.org/o/Women/6056/australian-women-s-cricket-team-delete-all-posts-about-everything-teasing-after Like this thread is posted by someone who is evidently (go through the history if unsure) an Indian Nationalist BJP supporter who is there to post two things
Look at her other posts and comments Has some posts on trans, but the others are all Muslim, Islam and defending India To me the issue with Vexxed is pretty much summed up by this one poster, she's not there to post her POV, she's there to post the POV of India. There's another poster, similarly anti-immigration but you can see they're there to pump up one political party Now, that is different from what's been said in the last page here, which is also not pro-immigration, but it's not agenda posting. To me, that's what Vexxed has become, just people agenda posting. I think it's healthy to have anti and pro immigration talks, but it has to be between people who are not there to agenda post To clarify, since it might seem like it might seem I don't want to hear certain POV's, it's not that, I want to hear YOUR POV on something, I don't want to hear the POV of a political party RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - alefia - Oct 29 2025 (Oct 27 2025, 3:12 AM)Feministunderyrbed I saw the problem with my comment’s formatting. I don’t know how it happened and it’s way beyond me to clean it up on my phone—I tried and only made it worse. I understand where you're coming from. I felt the same way until I found this Sub stack: https://sistaseparatist.substack.com/p/israel-is-using-the-united-states?utm_source=post-banner&utm_medium=web&utm_campaign=posts-open-in-app&triedRedirect=true Overall, I really appreciate the lack of liberalism there. On the topic of immigration and the hypocrisy of Western "feminism", I could write a Thesis. Maybe for another thread since that's not the main topic here. RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - dobby - Dec 20 2025 (Oct 24 2025, 3:19 PM)Feministunderyrbed The thing is, immigration is not a feminist issue except to the far right that wants to hijack us for their agenda. And the problem with Joe Rogan and Charlie Kirk isn’t that they’re men, it’s that they’re far right. Joe Rogan accidentally did something right when he platformed Dr. Debra Soh’s work on autogynephilia, and Ovarit (or was it still r/GC?) rightly linked to it. But then he betrayed women by endorsing Trump. Don't mean to bump an old post/comment up, but tbh I just wanted to comment to say that I think that I agree with you tbh. I think in regards to immigration, it's a common sense issue that immigration authorities in any country should have been screening immigrants from other countries for their criminal records, doing those interview checks to make sure that they're not misogynistic regressive extremists trying to incite violence or commit crimes, and that similarly, I think that it's the job of law enforcement and police to be enforcing their laws by not letting men who commit violent crimes or rapes get away with it, whether they're citizens, immigrants (legal or undocumented), refugees, etc. It only becomes a "feminist issue" because of some western countries for whatever reason choosing to not screen immigrants (in the way that every country is supposed to) or not enforce their laws, and therefore being lenient with immigrant or refugee men who commit crime (but the thing is that these same authorities are also already similarly lenient with male native-born citizens who commit crime too, so it's just another example of systemic misogyny tbh, and I don't see why immigrants or "other foreign countries" as a whole have to blamed for the misogyny in the immigration authorities and law enforcement of the host country that a male immigrates to and commits crime in, since they shouldn't have just let men of any kind get away with harming women. But I find it frustrating that the far-right in western countries (particularly the UK, UK, and Canada), has twisted immigration to apparently be a "feminist issue" in a way that riles up so much racism and xenophobia in general (and classism too, I think). I had more thoughts about the perception that "some countries are more misogynistic than others" that I think that I maybe tried elaborating more on in a recent Vexxed thread (though I was downvoted ofc) as well as maybe also here on a Clovenhooves thread (I'll try looking for both thread links later.) But I just find it so frustrating how on spaces like Vexxed, there's so many overall woman-blaming, woman-shaming, victim-blaming, "sl*t-shaming", anti-women, anti-female-solidarity sorts of posts and comments and then conveniently on certain topics, people pretend they are pro-woman or care about "all women" but then conveniently the suffering of some types of women stop mattering because they somehow don't count in the category of women if they're Muslim women, ex-Muslim women, Hindu or ex-Hindu women, Middle-Eastern women, South Asian women, African women, and sometimes when these racists can get away with it, they find subtle ways to even spread hatred about Black American women, but because some of the racist-leaning users conveniently throw in a few obligatory comments claiming to care about black women or claiming to have mixed kids or whatever, their racism gets overlooked. (It's so telling to me though how so many of the comments and posts I've shared that center on black women that are meant to uplift them get downvoted and end up with like 0 to 6 votes at most with often no comments or 1 at most, and if the article happens to call out black men or boys, then maybe the post or comment gets a few more upvotes but rarely ever if I end up also calling out white men and boys too. I got downvoted into the negatives recently for an innocuous comment I made noting the trend between "white nerdy boys" and school shooters, which I had previously thought was a common observation, but it was considered offensive on Vexxed lol. All my comments on the Amanda Seyfried post have been mass-downvoted as well by at least 5 to 10+ users, and I can tell that there's people on Vexxed that really want to discourage me and my efforts to try to call out the racism tbh.) Anyways, I just wanted to comment tbh to say that I missed seeing your comments and posts around on Vexxed 😢 RE: vexxed.org, a successor to Ovarit - dobby - Dec 20 2025 (Oct 20 2025, 10:37 AM)LeftFem I'll add my two cents. I avoided posting on Ovarit after the start, I avoid mostly posting on Vexxed. The current change to avoid the hot topics will be amazing, if they make a circle, even better, a circle I will probably never post in I agree with all of this so much, and this matches my thoughts and frustrations exactly 😭 i appreciate you commenting this here, because i feel like in some ways, you're one of the Vexxed members with a relatively similar-ish background to me, though different religions. I'm so frustrated by racist MAGA rightwing MAGA conservatives on Vexxed. I feel like most other racists I've had to deal with IRL or have come across online end up coming off seeming like angels and genuinely good ppl in comparison to some of the hate and nonsense derailing I've gotten used to seeing on Vexxed and it's genuinely been skewing so many of my perceptions on what racism even is at this point. Like even most racists I've met aren't as hateful as racist as the ones i see on vexxed yet i can't call out the racism because I'll only be told that what i perceive as racism isn't racism and tbh i find it so messed up that some white "feminist" women or just women from "the West" in general seem to think that their judgment is infallible and that they can accurately make the call on what is racist and what's not without taking into account the input and feedback and perspectives from many women of color sharing their thoughts. Idk lol. I just wish that an actual GC feminist-friendly space for brown women and especially women from the Global South actually existed. |
